ADAVB BOQ Specialist CPD Practice Bursary

Proudly supporting the Victorian dental industry

The ADAVB BOQ Specialist CPD Practice Bursary is a professional development grant that was launched in 2015 as part of a long standing partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) and BOQ Specialist.

The practice bursary is open to ADAVB member owned private practices and aims to acknowledge dental practices committed to quality learning and to fund further professional development for practitioners and professional staff members.

The bursary is a grant of $10,000 to be used for professional development and training purposes, of which $2000 must be used for CPD courses and/or training programs offered by the ADAVB.

Applications for the 2024 ADAVB Specialist CPD Practice Bursary will open in August 2024.

Congratulations to our 2023 recipient

We are delighted to announce Dr Chieh Chun Gan as the recipient of the 2023 Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) and BOQ Specialist CPD Practice Bursary.

Dr Gan and the Chesterville Dental team have received $10,000 to fund further professional learning and development activities within the practice.

Commenting on the award, Dr Gan said that he and his team felt a sense of accomplishment upon receiving the news of the successful bursary win. "The bursary award holds great significance for our practice, signalling an opportunity for further growth and development. We plan to channel this grant into additional training and development initiatives, aiming to expand our team's knowledge and skills in areas they are truly passionate about.," said Dr Gan.

Dr Gan and the Chesterville Dental Team impressed the judging panel with their emphasis on the practice's community centric approach to dentistry, where their priority and focus is to create a culturally safe and calming environment for all patients.
