BOQ Specialist unveils $10,000 professional development bursary

Sydney, 12 March 2015

BOQ Specialist has reinforced its longstanding commitment to the ongoing professional development of dental professionals, today announcing a partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) to fund an annual professional development grant - the ADAVB/BOQ Specialist CPD Practice Bursary.

The bursary aims to acknowledge dental practices which are committed to quality learning and to fund further professional development for practitioners and professional staff members.

“We are delighted that BOQ Specialist has confirmed its commitment to the dentistry community in Victoria by instigating this professional development bursary. This initiative will serve the ADAVB’s core objective, which is to maintain dentistry practice standards for the benefit and protection of the public and dental staff,” said ADAVB President Dr Bob Cvetkovic.

In addition to a Certificate of Recognition, the $10,000 bursary will consist of $8,000 to be applied to training programs, and complimentary registration to any ADAVB CPD course or convention worth $2,000. The winning practice will also be profiled by the ADAVB and BOQ Specialist in relevant publications and online.

Commenting on the ADAVB/BOQ Specialist CPD Bursary, BOQ Specialist co-founder and CEO Barry Lanesman said: “We are very pleased to launch the inaugural ADAVB/BOQ Specialist CPD Bursary, which will further our long-standing partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch.”

“My own background as a former dentist and our team’s years of experience providing distinctive banking solutions to dentists have given us a unique understanding of their niche needs and career trajectory. We appreciate that dental practitioners are often looking to refresh their skills or seeking the next challenge. The purpose of this bursary is to reward such commitment to professionalism.”

The award is open to all ADAVB member owned private practices and submissions will be accepted until 5pm on 12 June 2015.
