BOQ Specialist and ADAQ announce applications open for 2022 dental bursaries

Brisbane, 26 September 2022

BOQ Specialist has today announced the return of its popular ADAQ and BOQ Specialist Bursary for Dental Excellence program in partnership with the Australian Dental Association Queensland (ADAQ), which will award two ADAQ members with professional development grants valued at a total of $11,000.

Now in its sixth consecutive year, the program acknowledges Queensland dental practices and emerging practitioners that are committed to quality learning and funds the continued professional development of practitioners and their teams.

BOQ Specialist Queensland State Manager, Mark Bartholomeusz said he was proud to once again be supporting professional development in the Queensland dental community through their long-standing partnership with ADAQ.

“For over 30 years, BOQ Specialist has provided distinctive banking solutions to dental professionals, and from this extensive experience we have developed a unique understanding about the importance of continued development for practicing dentists and dental specialists,” he said.

“We are thrilled to support dental practitioners in delivering the highest level of care and service to their patients through the continuation of our partnership with ADAQ,” Mr Bartholomeusz said.

This year, one bursary will be offered to an emerging practitioner (with less than five years of professional work experience), and the other will be offered to an experienced practitioner (with over five years of professional work experience) on behalf of their dental practice.

ADAQ President, Dr Matthew Nangle, said the bursaries are an invaluable opportunity enabling both dental practitioners and their staff to develop their professional and clinical skills.

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with BOQ Specialist to deliver this strategic initiative that strongly aligns with ADAQ's mission of supporting the dental profession and advancing the oral health of all Queenslanders,” Dr Nangle said.

The bursaries will be awarded at the ADAQ Annual Clinic Day on Friday 25 November 2022 with applications accepted until 11:59pm on Sunday 6 November 2022. The application form is available via the ADAQ website at www.adaq.org.au/bursary
