BOQ Specialist and ADAVB announce applications open for 2021 dental bursaries

Melbourne, 1 October 2021

BOQ Specialist has today announced it will offer two professional development grants this year in partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB), as part of the popular ADAVB BOQ Specialist Bursary program.

Now in its seventh consecutive year, the program aims to recognise both dental practices and recent dental graduates that demonstrate a commitment to excellence and to quality learning by providing funding for further professional development.

BOQ Specialist Victorian State Manager, Daniel McDonough said he was proud to be supporting the bursary program through the long-standing partnership with ADAVB again this year.

“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with ADAVB supporting dental practitioners in delivering the highest level of care and service to their patients through the bursary program,” he said.

“Not only does this mark the strength of our long-standing relationship, but also our commitment to supporting the professional development within the Victorian dental community.”

As part of the program, one bursary will be available to ADAVB members who first registered as a dentist in Australia between 2013 and 2021 and contribute $5000 towards their professional development through ADAVB CPD courses. The other will offer an ADAVB member owned practice $8000 to be applied to CPD and training programs and $2000 to be applied to ADAVB CPD courses, providing the opportunity for each practitioner and staff member within the practice to undertake further professional development.

Commenting on the program, ADAVB President, Dr Jeremy Sternson, said: “BOQ Specialist’s incredible generosity will have a positive impact on the successful practice and recent graduate.”

"This bursary will help those lucky recipients achieve greater satisfaction through greater dentistry, and it is such a great time to win it when our own ADAVB CPD program is looking to be the best ever.”

The bursaries are open to ADAVB members, with submissions accepted until 5:00pm on Monday 25 October 2021.

The application form is available via the ADAVB website at adavb.org/bursaries.
