BOQ Specialist Impersonation Scam {yellow-border}

Scammers are impersonating BOQ Specialist via phone calls. Scammers are calling BOQ Specialist clients claiming there is unusual activity on their BOQ/BOQ Specialist Visa debit card.

If the scam call proceeds, the scammer will request sensitive personal or banking information, such as CAN’s, card numbers, security questions or one-time passwords (OTPs).

To report a fraud or scam, attend your local branch or call our Client Service Team immediately on

BOQ Specialist Employee Scam {yellow-border}

BOQ Specialist are aware of a new scam involving customers receiving phone calls from scammers posing as BOQ Specialist employees. In these calls, scammers request the customer’s personal information and one-time verification code.

Once the code has been provided to the scammer, they’re able to make fraudulent purchases using the customer’s account.

BOQ Specialist has been alerted to a phishing email that advises we have placed your account in review, and you are required to answer questions to unlock your account.

What to look out for and how to protect yourself:

The email contains a hyperlink that takes you to a fake BOQ Specialist webpage, which asks for your personal details.   If you receive such an email, do not click any links and do not provide your personal or banking details.

BOQ Specialist will never send our clients a link to a sign-in page, ask you to confirm your personal details or to request access to your Internet Banking profile directly.
