Sydney, 3 August 2018

BOQ Specialist has reinforced its longstanding commitment to the ongoing professional development of dentists, today announcing a partnership with the Australian Dental Association New South Wales Branch (ADA NSW) to fund an annual professional development grant - the ADA NSW BOQ Specialist Recent Graduate Bursary.

The bursary aims to recognise recent dental graduates who are committed to high quality learning and to provide financial support for further professional development through continuing education courses.

Commenting on the bursary, ADA NSW President, Dr Neil Peppitt, said: “BOQ Specialist is a long serving industry partner and supporter of ADA NSW and we are delighted to collaborate to offer the 2018 ADA NSW BOQ Specialist Recent Graduate Bursary to our recent graduate members. We are committed to providing high quality continuing professional development for our members and this will help develop the professional and clinical skills of a young dentist.”

The bursary includes $5,000 to be applied to ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development training courses. The recipient of the bursary will be announced at the ADA NSW Convention Gala Dinner on Saturday 15 September and feature in the ADA NSW’s online and print publications as well as BOQ Specialist’s own Best Practice publication.

Commenting on the bursary, BOQ Specialist State Manager, Lianne Bolton said: “We are delighted to launch the inaugural ADA NSW BOQ Specialist Recent Graduate Bursary, marking not only the strength of our partnership with the ADA NSW but also our commitment to supporting the next generation of dentists”.

BOQ Specialist CEO, Hugh Lander concluded: “BOQ Specialist has provided distinctive banking solutions to dentists for over 25 years which means we deeply understand their career trajectory, and the importance of continued professional development. The purpose of the bursary program is to reward the commitment of recent dental graduates to ongoing education and training in order to deliver the highest quality of care to their patients.”

The bursary is open to ADA NSW members who are within seven years of graduating, and submissions will be accepted until Friday 7 September 2018. The application form is available via the ADA NSW website.
